Linen on Linen

Don’t you love that it’s starting to feel like spring? Sitting here writing this with the doors open is such a relaxing feeling. Now that it’s starting to get warm out, i’ve starting thinking about my warm weather wardrobe. I’ve taken a huge liking to linen lately, so when I found these linen pants at Anthropologie, I fell in love and bought three pairs. They come in 5 colors so you have plenty to choose from! I paired it with a linen button-down from H&M, a brown Zara clutch, Celine sunglasses, and a floral printed bandana, also from Anthropologie. The shoes are vintage.

Check out the shop-able links below, as well as some more shots of this outfit!

Spring’s in the Air

Ah how wonderful it is to be able to open up your windows and breath in some fresh Spring air. It’s crazy to think that just a week ago we were sitting here in the middle of a blizzard!

Now that it’s so beautiful out, i’ve started looking into refreshing my spring wardrobe. When I saw this jacket from Anthropologie, I knew that I had to have it. The colors and texture are absolutely stunning, and it’s super lightweight so it’s perfect to wear even on a warmer day. It does run a little oversized so you may want to size down if that will bother you.

Paired with Mother Looker jeans in the Clean Sweep wash, a basic white H&M tshirt, Celine Sunglasses and Clutch, and Steve Madden monkstraps.

Tabitha Brimfield Jacket • Tabitha • $89.95
H&M Long T-shirt • H&M • $9.99–17.99
Women’s Mother ‘The Looker’ Skinny Jeans • Mother • $205
Céline Baby Audrey Sunglasses • Celine • $230
Céline Leather Flap Clutch • Celine • $595

Nautical for the Summer

Alright, so I know that this look is nothing new, but hey, who doesn’t love this trend for summer! I mean, Jean Paul Gaultier pretty much lives his entire life in a nautical inspired striped sweater. Taking inspiration from a look from the Lanvin SS15 collection, I came up with an easy but chic look good for anytime of day! Plus, all the pieces are awesome on their own so feel free to mix and match to come up with your own look.

The Destroyed Boyfriend Jean

If you’ve left your home at all in the past 6 months, you’ll have noticed a consistency in every store you’ve walked into; the boyfriend jean. This super low rise slouchy fit jean has been a staple of the fashion community all spring and summer. My personal favorite take on the jean is a super destroyed option, which has been seen on pretty much every fashion a-lister across the coast. The best part is that it’s super easy to dress. Make it casual with a slouchy t-shirt and sandals, or dress it up with a blazer and a pair of stilettos. It’s all up to you! If you’re new to the trend, or are just looking for some new options to upgrade too, I’ve chosen a couple of my current favorites that are available to buy now. Check them all out after the cut!

A Night Out In Fringe

Trends are always coming and going. That’s the thing that makes the fashion world go round. It’s what keeps stores open and keeps people buying. What’s cool this month? Is it going to be popular next month? While I will always encourage you to keep an eye open on what people are wearing around you, never let that dictate what you HAVE to be wearing at the moment. This leads me to a trend that we started seeing late last year. Fringe popped up on runway after runway, and shortly after we were immediately seeing it on the streets. Handbags were trimmed with fine strips of leather, and skirts all of a sudden started shaking with every step. It popped up in every store you walked into. You couldn’t escape it!

Well now that it’s a season later, should we still be wearing it or should we have stepped into the latest trend? You know, I don’t think so. The wonderful thing about fashion is the ability to take trends from years past and make them relevant again. So with this I challenged myself to keep the fringe trend going and make it relevant for the time of the year.

The Zara fringe skirt in black is super fun and chic at the same time. I paired it with a cropped tank top to draw your attention downward and keep the fringes moving while you walk. A bright pop of red in the blazer will make you pop and all eyes will be on you. Simple black accessories and a gold choker complete the look! Make sure you check out the links below to shop the look.
